[Out of habit, her greeting starts with a sigh. Hey, for a long time the only person who called her was Sylens, and it really set a tone for phone conversations. Be glad it's just a sigh.]
What do you need?
What do you need?

If we go, we can get you a proper sheets and blankets for a comfortable set up, and you can get a look at a one of the less dangerous ruins.
There's also a ruin where you can get a full bed, but you'll need someone stronger for that.

First of all, who is this, and why do you care what my sleeping arrangements are?

day 85 morning
Re: day 85 morning
aloy: Here. For your amusement.
[A selfie follows of her stuck on a ceiling, tucked into the corner of a room.]
aloy: A little hard to get around outside right now.

DAY 94
Re: DAY 94
Thanks for this.
I guess that explains how hard it can be to get takers on medicinal herbs. Even when someone can’t get healing, we’re actually playing catchup, aren’t we?

Late Day 99
Bootyyyshaker9000: I had wanted to do it in person, but spring stupidity really is not going to let that happen.
Bootyyyshaker9000: So text is probably better for the moment anyway.
Re: Late Day 99
aloy: Text is usually a little better for you, isn’t it? Text is fine.
aloy: Tryse is probably better than me at medicinal herbs. She might be able to help with the seasonal problems.

DAY 106
Tryse: This may seem like a bad time, but it may be better than most.
Tryse: I'd like to see your heart again.
Tryse: No tower. Just me. No need to make you see something that will make you tense again.
Tryse: I won't make any changes. I just want to observe.
Tryse: Will you allow this?

day 107
- the training program she requested pings to her Focus as a download. it contains a carefully curated module bolstered by the training programs from APOLLO, altered for Aloy's own self-paced learning. it's focused on a gradual ramp-up from a base of algebra into physics, with options to adjust the pace of the materials at will. if Aoy does a little digging around, she'll find Airi's also included a number of mini-modules for more basic math, should Aloy need it.
- mysteriously, three dolls appear on her bed, holding hands. there's the Varl one she requested, but also herself and Airi. all three have little clips sewn into the hands so they can hold hand in any order Aloy wants. ]

Evening 107
Bootyyyshaker9000: Stop by my room, a wire connection is a faster transfer.
Bootyyyshaker9000: Also I have something to run by you and it's easier with a physical demonstration. It shouldn't take a ton of time.
Re: Evening 107
aloy: I’m going over a program from Airi. Give me a few minutes.
aloy: Do I need anything for your demonstration?

day 115
Adora: I've added jump points and platforms leading away in case a quick escape from the monsters is needed.
[ attached comes a picture of the platforms they'd discussed on their run--
it's closer to the start of the forest to avoid too many of the monsters and the rudimentary quality of most of their materials means it isn't particularly pretty, but there's a series of climbing/jumping points and platforms as promised. if Aloy decides to test them out, she'll find they're solid and sturdy. ]

DAY 118 or so
Tryse: I'll warn that two of them involve a lot of gods. I recorded them in the ruins, so our host couldn't overhear.
Tryse: The first is shortest. Involves one of the few worthwhile Northmen. The second is about a war sparked by lust and greed, unconnected to the first. The third is about a king trying to make his way home from the war, after his foolishness brings the wrath of the sea god upon him.
Tryse: The latter two are meant for various audiences. The former is more for party tales. It's only a few hours long, so I'll suggest you start there.
[Attached are three audio recordings! Iliad, Odyssey, and Beowulf. The openings to the first two, she treats serious, like epic poetry. Combined, they round out to more than fifty hours. Opening Beowulf, at only six or seven hours, though...]
Bro! Tell me we still know how to speak of kings! In the old days,
everyone knew what men were: brave, bold, glory-bound. Only
stories now, but I’ll sound the Spear-Danes’ song, hoarded for hungry times.
Their first father was a foundling: Scyld Scefing.
He spent his youth fists up, browbeating every barstool-brother,
bonfiring his enemies. That man began in the waves, a baby in a basket,
but he bootstrapped his way into a kingdom, trading loneliness
for luxury. Whether they thought kneeling necessary or no,
everyone from head to tail of the whale-road bent down:
There’s a king, there’s his crown!
That was a good king.
[...Not exactly your traditional Tryse fare, that.]
Re: DAY 118 or so
aloy: I didn't expect it to sound like this. Like it's built differently.
