I guess that explains how hard it can be to get takers on medicinal herbs. Even when someone can’t get healing, we’re actually playing catchup, aren’t we?

I should've shared mine earlier, sorry. I just figured that if you had me and my stockpile available... Well.

This doesn't mean that some people aren't just pigheaded. They had a class on basic healing skills, nothing you wouldn't already know, at the clinic a few days ago. Eight students total. Some teams didn't even have members show up.

Too happy to lean on the mystic options, I suppose.

Nothing to feel bad about. We talked before about how it could be hard to communicate about these. Different worlds, different plants. Different names for the plants. Now we have an easier way to connect these things.

I was going to offer my services after the hostage torture scenario. Someone had crushed half of her body. Not much I could do, but... Well, it turns out that Mouse has a magic jewel capable of regenerating her wounds even with her anti-healing abilities.

I thought you might. But I don’t think I have been? It helps manage pain, but it doesn’t seem much use in actually promoting healing.

Oh, it's excellent for pain. It's actually one of the most potent painkillers I'm aware of. Treated right, it can handle digestive issues, too, but for deadening pain and promoting sleep... Well. Let's say that it's so effective some become unable or unwilling to live without it.

Apparently Mouse has a multi- level dungeon under their home. When I say dungeon, I mean more... maze complex. For adventuring. Not so much a prison. If they can manage that, while our Donatello struggles to manage a basement...

Sure, there’s some aches that keep coming back. But that’s normal. Usually I’ll just turn to that one if I didn’t get out of the way of a Thunderjaw’s tail in time. That sort of thing.

I told her she could make a deal for a weapon with Salamander. Sounds like she has trouble sleeping without a dagger.

I let her borrow mine last night. If she goes to Salamander, here's hoping she can get a fair one.

For what it's worth, Donatello takes some pride in making things for us. All of those daggers I enchanted are his work. I'd already talked to him about making one for her.

Speaking of Donatello, be mindful about starting a scan when he’s at the center of your attention. His gear has some kind of encryption against connections, which is good, but I keep catching it by accident and I think it’s logging scan attempts.

I suppose now's an awkward time to mention that my translation spell works on ciphers as well.

Not that it does me a whole lot of good. Just because I can read it, it doesn't mean I understand it.

To be up front about it, I’m not trying to access his data. But this encryption is about preventing access in the first place. There were people who used to connect to his tech to override and steal control of it.

I think that might make it worse. He doesn't appreciate misdirection. He doesn't even like stage magic because it's about trickery and making people think that there's magic being done.

It's probably not really wrong. I'm certain I didn't go over it as well as GAIA would have.

All encryptions can be broken, given enough time and attention. There's just a point where we have to decide whether it's worth it.

And, really, knowing how his technology is put together isn't worth it, is it?

I was going to see what the components of his staff were, but - you're right. Not worth it.

Anyway. At this point I'm kind of just playing with things to see how it all fits together and what I can do with it.
