Additional Notes Looks like Beta, from team Salamander, if Beta had bigger muscles, bigger hair, bigger confidence, and more time in the sun. Basically. Bears a variety of scars from a difficult and violent life, but most notably a faint, old scar on her forehead from being hit with a rock and a more recent scar on the right side of her neck where someone started to slit her throat. As of Day 86: Aloy has a 30-day temp tattoo on the back of her hand of the Seeker’s Mark. Normal to catch her muttering to herself, due to her isolation. Habitually touches two fingers to the right side of her head; a gesture that will explain itself with the right item regain.

Reference, honestly probably for my own use. Plants Aloy knows that are based on Actual Plants but have been given new names in her time.

-Corruption Glaze = Castilleja christii (use roots to craft antidotes)
-Freeze Rime = Colorado blue Columbine (use a small amount of root to treat ulcers; use roots to craft freeze resist potions)
-Fire Kiln = wood lily (use roots to craft fire resist potions)
-Shock wax = blue alpine phacelia (use roots to craft shock resist potions)

Information gathering

Focus
So long as Aloy has her Focus, she's going to wear it and habitually use it. There's an array of passive and information gathering that it'll do for her - we see it highlight signals for her, and we see her actively scanning things, we some Detective Vision capabilities. The Focus shows her this information through augmented reality - whatever it highlights or projects for her is only visible to herself or another person with compatible technology (and yes, it is fair to react to this). There is a reason that she gains a bit of a tall tale reputation as someone with 'second sight' in canon. The major thing here is, ah - you know how we tend to talk about how a character will ping to someone with magical senses?

How does your character or their inventory ping in terms of science and technology?
Does your character give off a signal (did Donnie put a tracking device in you...)? Do they have cyborg implants? ARE THEY A ROBOT? Can the Focus identify strengths and vulnerabilities? Download unsecured data files?

Does your character even register on the Focus?
Normally the Focus also lets her spot and track people and machines, but uh. I think sometimes characters are ghosts and such? Is your character, for some reason or another, a situation where she can see and interact with you but YOU DON'T SHOW UP TO THE FOCUS AS A REAL THING?
